free half-term activities

Not a lot of joined up thinking again Fran 1/2. term was last week up here.........but thanks anyway :0)

lol Pam, maybe different areas break at different times? still, there might be something for weekends for parents and kids

It hasn't helped my friend, her grandchildren are staying with her for half term and all the special attractions were last week!

Thanks Fran, my grandchidren are off this week, their Mum works at a school over the border and she was off last week, which is typical.......

How's she coping, Lincs? with kids off school but her not?

I can't understand staggered holiday times. Well, I can, sort of - if every school closed for half term at the same time there'd be chaos as all those kids would have to be "entertained" by being taken out at the same time!

The BBC site said "in your area", but I couldn't see anywhere to put your postcode in to find out what actually was happening locally - I did find, and put up a notice about, another site where you could put in your postcode - bluebell woods was one, and there was another, all from BBC pages.

Its easier now Fran as they have reached the stage whereby they can look after themselves and we are only round the corner, in fact I have time on my hands now because I spent 15 yrs as the childminder and am hardly used now, it comes to us all as they grow up, I miss those playdays....

*s* Lincs, understand what you mean. But for me, I think remembering is often more fun than actually being there at the time ...

ours was last week too. so no use for my 15 yr old.
