Sunshine has returned to Angus :)

Its very cold, but the sun has returned and so we’ve been busy. OH cut the grass and I watered all the pots, pruned back the die-back on the shrubs, sowed some seed (peas and coriander) took some cuttings, reorganised the greenhouse, potted some stuff on, moved a few things about, and took a few photos!

I must add….I did sit down and enjoy the garden for at least 10 minutes! :)

Your garden always looks wonderful, I have to admire all those beautifully cut edges! All the pots must take a lot of work, but look striking. Your flowers are lovely, I do have a very soft spot for Primulas. It's an exciting time of the year when everything is just coming through and you have to remember just how much room everything takes up, a bare spot doesn't mean I can cram in another plant! tulips are always striking at this time of year when all the flowers seem to be yellow or white, a real splash of colour.

Thank you both! We awoke to a frost this morning. Not too severe, but I was a bit worried about my toms. In the greenhouse...but all seems to be well...hopefully. Yes Honeysuckle...a very exciting time of year for us gardeners. OH did the edges..he’s excellent at it! I have to do the weeding as he’s not always sure which plants are classed as weeds here! The sun is out again today, and we are heading down the road to Kingennie Fishings for lunch. So it should be a great afternoon. Hope you both have a good one too, and thanks for looking in and commenting!

like your new avatar pic as well of the views of your lovely garden. a couple of hard frosts here lately. toms still just starting to germinate in a propagator so still safe and sound.

Your garden looks lovely Karen and everything is so neat and tidy ! I like the pot display. Was that made from decking as I am still looking for ideas for the decking I have. Making big raised beds won't work as there isn't enough room in the back way, but this may just fit somewhere !!

Yes Rose..OH made it 2 years ago. Thank you!
Thanks SBG...as usual, I sowed my toms too early and they are now almost ready to go into grow bags...fingers crossed!

Looking good!

Your camera takes lovely, clear images. I am going to have to replace mine!

Its a good camera Eirlys, but its ‘proper’ and I really need a tripod because I just can’t keep still! Most of my pics come out just slightly blurry which you may not see on here, but they are.

Then again...it could be that I’m needing stronger glasses! ;)

Aha, your good karma's coming home to roost! I've got a Velbon CX440 tripod you can have. It's a lightweight aluminium one, all adjustable. My brother gave me it when his old school shut down but I've already got three so will never use it. PM me if it would be any use☺

Such lovely photos but my favourite is the collection of assorted pots .....reminds me of pictures I see in the 'Country Living' magazine! Very classy :-)

Thanks Chris. I like little table displays of pots. Its an added interest. For my open days in July I am creating a table display of edible flowers in pots. :)

I see your garden is thriving and very neat. Mine is a jungle I am slowly sorting out.

You'll get there eventually Dorjac. Enjoy it....Enjoy the bees, the birds and the bugs and the tidying will seem so much better. Do you know, I was outside all day yesterday just potting and pottering and I do have some aches and pains nowadays and I am trying really hard to slow down and go at Garden pace instead of rushing it all the time. I realised that gardens grow themselves...we are only custodians and the sooner we learn to slow down, enjoy, observe and breathe...it will be so much the better for us AND for the garden. :)
