Just had two glorious days in my garden catching up on things, is’nt the weather lovely, but going back to the 14th sept, one of my sisters lives here in blackpool, well originaly we where a family of 8 girls but sadly over the years we are down to only 6 of us,anyway i’m the youngest of them & my sister who lives near me is the next one up of us, so on the 14th the pair of us packed a case, & with are free bus passes, went to the bus station to set of & visit the other 6 sisters so we got a bus from blackpool to manchester, had to wait about 1hr for a bus to come in to take us to chesterfield where one of our sister’s lives, but my eldest son lives near chesterfield, so we did have a bed to sleep in. & i do know my way round there, anyway next morning buspass ready got the local bus to see one sister, the following day,we got a local bus again & went to see two more of our sisters who live in mansfield woodhouse witch is just in nottinghamshire, so at this point there was 5 sisters sat in one if there homes having acupper together, but there was 1 of us missing & that was our eldest sister, but she lives in cambridge, so when i got back to my son’s that evening, he asked how everything went, he made a couple of phone calls & acouple of days later, my granddaughters boyfriend took the 5 of us to see our eldest sister in cambridge, we all went for a nice meal together, with my grandaughter & boyfreind in toe with us. Then it was time to set of back to mansfield & chesterfield, by saturday it was time for my sister & myself to head back up to the northwest, i’ve been pottering about my garden this last couple of days, as the weather as been so nice, thinking it does’nt seem that long since we all played together in our parents garden, & here we are all in our 60s & 70s infact my eldest sister is 80,where on earth as all the time gone, just so glad i did what i did & i got us all together, well six of us, anyway ive had a great week & pleased to be back with you all, hope weather keeps fine looking forwould to spending time in the garden.

Clarice ~
You did well to get the sisters together and to manage all that travelling.
Time goes too fast doesn't it!

That`s lovely to all meet up like that, time does go by so quickly sometimes and we need to make the effort to keep in touch with our families. Do your sisters all enjoy gardening too?

Wow Clarice, wondered where you'd been. I've read about these free bus passes for over 60's in UK. Sadly since we live in Hungary we cant get them for when we visit UK. You have to be resident. The good news is for us is that very soon we shall be able to use all types of transport free of charge in Hungary, which includes buses, trams, metro, and trains. All EU citizens over 65 can do this here, which is actually more generous than the UK. (OOOps now I've given away my age!!!

Well done Clarice, we are a family of 10, 7 sisters and 3 brothers, I take my hat off to you, for what you have managed to achieve in one week. As we are all scattered about, we have not been able to me up together for years, I have even lost count of how many greatnieces and greatnephews I have got. But one good thing, we are in regular contact via phone. Where would we be without the phone? I am number 6 in the family.
