For those of you who remember Vicky ,who is the founder of Plant a go go Heucheras, and is/was one of our Goy members from way back.. I’m delighted to tell you she has won the best in show at Harrogate flower show for her amazing display..
She also took part in our local Radio Leeds,Sunday morning Gardening programme, and gave a lovely interview at length..It was such a pleasure to listen to her this morning…I know some of us have had the chance to meet her at shows over the years,so it makes her success all the more exciting to hear…Her latest new Heuchera is named after her son..and would you believe,I didn’t catch the name ?? Grrrr.!
Well done,Vicky ,and wishing you every success in the future..so well deserved :o)

Is it Thomas Sandra? Only I have that one and I have had it for two years. I was a little puzzled when I saw it recently mentioned as new...but then perhaps it is newly launched. I bought another Paris today in spite of all the previous ones dying on me! I just can't resist the bloomin thing! It has green leaves and deep pink flowers and it just gets me every time! Lol!

she came to our hps group and gave a fantastic talk to us a few years ago. a lovely lady too. I wasn't able to go to harrogate this year as I was giving a talk to a group in Sunderland about encouraging wildlife in the garden.

I know,Julia ! and considering my eldest Grandsons name too! I have a feeling she said 'Tom' and not Thomas ,and as I was opening the oven door at the time,to see if my flapjack was ready...I lost concentration Lol..am I forgiven? I'm sure burnt offerings wouldn't have been appreciated,by my family :o) xx

I agree, congratulations to Vicky, and her other half. I have met her on several occasions. Always puts on a lovely display.
