This is a different aspect of gardening, which I couldn’t manage without,so thought you may like to have a little tour,of My Shed…It has recently had a make over,..or a good sort out and a clean,to be honest…so here we go.
First of all,the outside, complete with a floral display …artificial specials from Wilko’s,but something to look at in the winter..Lol!

Please come inside, where we have recycled carpet tiles for comfort,..and washable, thank goodness..

Meet,Kevin,a former doorstop, but now retired and working as a Security guard

Looking upwards to the ceiling, not by Michael Angelo I’m afraid, but vital storage for ladders, and sun umbrella…which hopefully will be in use again soon

The prep area, for lots of winged visitors

’His side, ’with recycled book shelves from daughters previous bedroom

My side, the same, but with added containers for crocks, plant food, twine ,etc,

Left side..rather full, but easy to get to

The old dressing table, and a tallboy,.with doors removed, belonged to my parents, and for which we were very grateful, when first married…so well made in those days..The ‘work bench’,is also an old door we had at another house,as the buyer decided to have a new one,so we asked if we could have it.My potting tray,is the base of a “Teasmade”..remember them? I bought it as a christmas present for mum and dad ,when getting my first decent wage, many years ago..

A filing cabinet, which they were throwing away from Russell’s former workplace, and is just so useful, for all those small things ..screws,nails etc,and everything you keep that ‘might come in one day’ and usuallly does.

I definitely need this clock,as i just lose track of time, when in here..another item we had in the kitchen.

This is Joe Maiden ,a great Gardener, and Tim Crowther, the presenter who I listen to every week,on their radio show, also go to the potato day, hosted by Joe..

Well thats about it,as we are now back to the entrance.you don’t need to close the door behind you,as I could be in here for a while longer yet

Another pic of the two ‘Cliff Richard’ roses,as you come back into the garden. Been nice to have your company…

I bet you will get everyone who reads this now will go out into their sheds to tidy, cos thats where I am going, mine is a disgrace, Lol :0{

You're just showing off, Sandra, it must have taken you days to get it looking so good ... lol ! ! I have to say our garage, 1940s built, too small for a car these days, is our shed and since the make-over OH has given me very strict instructions to keep it tidy ! Moi ... untidy in the shed ... well, ok, yes.
Like you, we have 'His'n Hers' sides ! I love Kevin too ! : o ))))

Wow.what a response..I did say it had just had a clear out,and also had the nozzle of the vac round the edges, and in between the floor boards...methinks that is why the vac had a flash and a bang ,the day after..and it is now at the tip,..had to buy a new one !!! Go on,everyone, say it serves me right ,for having an upmarket shed Lol.....Dido,haven't a lot of room to spin round, but the thought made me smile...what? at my age?
Lou,..cheeky ...hope the 'you know what '.is good....vroom vroom..oops sorry, was it a secret? not anymore :o)
Grandmage, they are great for storage, and the contents don't go damp in the winter, with the condensation...
Shirley,it didn't really take so long,as Russell was roped into lifting everything out for me..and just giving him an idea what to expect when he retires a week tomorrow Lol.Glad you like Kevin..very sad that he is my best friend...well,in the shed anyway..:o)
Annella, that's what I kept saying too,and it finally happened....

Khayla,We haven't gone that far yet as to varnishing the inside.Lol,..what do you think of a bit of Laura Ashley ? ha ha Pleased you like the roses.
As for you,Flori.,I knew the kind of comment you would make, and to both you and Karen,..if David Tennant was in there,I'm afraid Kevin would be turned round to look out of the window Lol.,..and you two would just not get in....(hot flush).
Hi,Great, will be waiting for your call,...glad you like my Kevin..he is looked after very well.
Sandra,I don't believe that for a moment...now mine is a different kettle of fish..don't let Kevin see that bit...I haven't time to clean that as well...Lol.
Carole,Russell has no chance of invading my space..he will be too busy looking for a part time job..well,he will only be 65,far too young to give up work yet..or so the Government think.....

I can't even get through my garage/shed door without stepping over bits of this or that I've been in twice to tidy up and come out again and locked the door - you free next weekend lol........correction next week LOL

21 Jul, 2010

Lo,Neellan,I will check Russell's appointment diary,as I will be busy,He will have more time on his hands than me...Let's see..mmm,he finishes work at lunchtime next Thursday..,forever,..Having a buffet at work,so with a bit of luck,he could be there by early evening..he may appreciate a cuppa, before he comes home..but if its getting late,he could bed down in your nice tidy shed...Lol.

21 Jul, 2010

wow how organised is your shed sandra,, i sort mine then its back to mess weeks later lol, once joe goes to uni and decides whats happening to his bike i will have more room, ;o))

21 Jul, 2010

Thanks Bloomer Have pity on poor Russell he'd take one look and drive straight home in time for tea!! I think I need to book a large skip before anyone can make a start Lol Your an inspiration we'd all love your shed in our garden Kevin Kingfisher n all :o)

21 Jul, 2010

San,as yet we have no bikes,or kiddies stuff, but no doubt there will be.;o)
Oh well Neellan, the thought was there..Lol.
There is another reason it has to be kept tidy,,When we downsized from our other house,we had a huge garage..which was the worst place ever to clear out.We have no garage here,so had to board out the loft space...that is now almost full.I keep all my pots propagator etc up there, plus lots of things that would normally be in the shed...so not as perfect as you seem to think.!!
I must admit,OH is a pretty tidy person,so that helps...:o))

22 Jul, 2010

You are amazing keeping your shed so beautiful. I can't get over how well all your things are arranged into their own spaces. Wow! My poor heart beat faster when you introduced us to Cliff..yes a fantastic rose but I thought my idol had come to officially open your shed. Swoon!!!! lol

22 Jul, 2010

Thanks,Grannysue....so sorry to get your hopes up about Cliff...that would have been a good idea..been to see him a couple of times, but that was a good while ago.Always put on a good show.Glad you like the roses, unfortunately they have no scent, but I like them for the prolific flowering anyway.:o))

22 Jul, 2010

23 Jul, 2010

Well,David,I will give it some thought as to the price,..and see who is the highest bidder on ebay first...says me..I wouldn't know how to start..Lol.Thanks for the kind offer though.;o)) ...The other David has just left the building.!!! sorry Flori and Karen, you are just not quick enough.,notice I am being polite ,and not saying fast ? .Lol.

23 Jul, 2010

And there was I about to instigate Ba's BAT system, to get over to you in double quick time too~don't know about Karen, but I'm inconsolable now.....sob! :~((((x

23 Jul, 2010

Aw poor Flori, I just thought your heart was beating a bit too fast, and concerned about you, that's all,,.Your welfare is of the utmost importance:o))..(crawl,crawl.)

23 Jul, 2010

Well, Mr Tennant stopped being a Timelord some time ago now, so he wouldn't need this marvellous DesRes now, would he? Can I get it at a knock-down price for at least having the same accent as him? LOL!!!!! Gr8 shed, love it - going to bed, work 2morrow! - time waits for no-one! What a "cliff"hanger! Lol! :-))

23 Jul, 2010

Well, when you put it like that,David.how could I resist your offer ?..very easily, sorry to say..,as its mine..all mine..(and a little bit his)..I laughed at your description of the rose,..it looks like our insanely bad puns are catching Lol.Welcome to the club!!
