@~Shadow Man@~ RIP baby boy :( ;(

Tonight we lay to rest a beautiful soul and great cat, named Shadow. A Nebelung (long hair Russian Blue). We discovered today that he had liver issues and secondary yellow jaundice that made him waste away very quickly, and reject any food and water. He was also very anemic and dehydrated. I thought it was FIV or FELV, as he had some symptoms of both. We plan on burying the precious baby in my yard, as he loved my house, despite being kept at my Grandma’s. (We don’t live very far apart). So that is my heart break for the day.. It already seems empty in this house without him :( </3

I am so sorry to hear about your cat. It can be devastating to loose a pet.

Thank you and yes it is, I am still off and on crying, guess I still haven't gotten it all out yet. What makes today even worse, is that today makes it 6 yrs that my grandma's only granddaughter died, as well. So this continues to be a dark day, at Hywel.

I am sorry I clicked Like for this - it was liking the photo your your very beautiful boy. So many here will empathise, knowing how it feels to lose a much loved animal. How old was he? There will be a shadowy corner of your garden now that will always be a special place.

I'm not sure his age, he was a young adult, I believe. At Steragram. The liver problem was something he was born with, we found out. That their was nothing we could do.. At Linclass, exactly. My Grandma has a house full of cats, (5 now) but it still feels empty. His light and energy is now gone, an feels very void in the home. The only good news is Shadow, who was not with us long enough to be fixed, has a mini me running around outside. I just found out. The kitten is feral, but grandma has experience with ferals. She wants to adopt it .

Thank you Dawnsaunt, I feel so guilty kuz I feel like I could of done more despite the vet saying their was nothing I could of done. I wish I could of hugged/held him more. I wish their was something I could have done. :( at LenLewis, yes, it does make it harder, it seems that day is just a dark, black day, all around.

At Dawnsaunt, it's hard not to. He was a young cat, with his whole life ahead of him if he wasn't sick. It tears me up.. Yes it is, at Paulspatch. I only hope I can catch and keep his son. He got out before he got sick and fathered 3 kittens. One looks exactly like him. Only problem is they are feral. Think mom is, too.
