A walk round the estate.

We are lucky enough to live on an estate bordered by mature trees. It also has a fair bit of new tree planting which are coming into youthful maturity. It was a beautiful October morning so I took my trusty iPad with me and took a few photos while I wended my weedy way..
From the front door, horse chestnuts on the green area in front of our house:

Alongside the main road in the village, where the oldest of the trees are:

Walking under their canopy:

Round the houses:

And back home again.
Sorry if this is ‘tree overload’ – it just looked so lovely today!

Thank you all, Ladies. The estate is on an old ex-RAF hospital site, so we enjoy all the trees that were planted many years ago. The landscapers for the estate added the newer ones.

I agree with everyone Ange, I love autumn in all its glory and trees especially, that was a lovely walk, your photo's are stunning, nice estate to live on, I would be out with my plastic sacks collecting leaves...

Lincs, we have plenty that find their way onto our side bed and OH collects some, too, from round the chestnuts.

I love the autumn colours too Ange and you are lucky to have them so near to you.
It must be lovely to be able to have a walk around them this time of year!
Am I right in thinking that horse chestnut trees produce the conkers?
I have always put conkers around the rooms and it stops the spiders from coming in, but unfortunately , no horse chestnuts round here!

Looks lovely, Ange! What a beautiful area, those majestic trees are to be admired indeed.. I do love to see there’s such an attractive mix of colour too. Thank you for taking us on a very relaxing, scenic stroll…

Rose, yes the conkers are from our horse chestnuts. I've not seen any spiders in the house this autmn.

Yes, Kate, we are lucky to live near these beauties.

Agreed, Fever, I feel the same.

Thanks, Janey.
