Hope they've sent you one over the fence Daisy, you deserve it after all the hard work that you've done !! :-)))

12 Sep, 2009

It is worth doing as it stops the greenhouse going below freezing, and i have'nt got an heater in mine, and its so cheap to do think the last lot i got was 80pmtr but it was 6ft wide, and i've saved all my bubble wrap from last winter, Marie you know why its come nice, its because i covered my patio table up last weekend.

12 Sep, 2009

I'll take some pics tomorrow, tho I havent got the gravel or whatever it ends up with,at the moment its weed membrane & sand! unless I take the gravel from out front, & put the topsoil I dug out in there! Oh dear! You've set me off Daisy!!

12 Sep, 2009

Iv'e been invited Sue, he really is a great neighbour, Good fun and No bother as we say :) I just couldn't be bothered..
Im seriously thinking about it Clarice, how do you Attatch it ? and Pleeeeease keep your table covered hahaha

12 Sep, 2009

Yes, please keep it covered!
Try double-sided sticky tape Daisy!

12 Sep, 2009

Where i can i peg it to the silver trims and then just selotape the pieces together, its not perfect but as long as all the sides are covered, and the door way i like overlap two pieces so i can get in and out and keep most of the heat in.

12 Sep, 2009

Sorry Marie missed your gravel or sand post.. Decisions!
hard work tho moveing gravel from front to back, Why not buy a bag or 2 a week, save it up untill there's enough.. I once asked for a ton of gravel for my Birthday.. and i got it :))) had to barrow it myself tho..

12 Sep, 2009

Thats one thing i dont have to do sweep up leaves, as dont get any thank goodness, sounds like the sun as got us all at it this week as'nt it, Dee you'll be supprised how much warmer you greenhouse will be.

12 Sep, 2009

cheaper loose though Dee,,ok in bags if you dont need to much i think anyway, :o)

12 Sep, 2009

i havent got my winter plants in just cant get going, so i might get a few tomoz to pop in my pots

12 Sep, 2009

Talking of gravel for your birthday one of my lads every xmas comes round with 4 big bags of compost with a ribbon round them,he always says he knows i'm going to ask him to get me some in new year so he decided to add it to my xmas list, at least it one pressy i'll always use.

12 Sep, 2009

I wont be keeping it as sand, Daisy, too messy! I'd have to wait til March if I asked for gravel for my birthday, & I dont have a wheelbarrow! I've moved all the soil, sand, compost & stuff in a wee bucket!
We'll see! I'll come up with something! The gravel could do with coming out of the front, cant grow much in it!

12 Sep, 2009

nice one carol lol

12 Sep, 2009

That's a great gift, Carol!

12 Sep, 2009

Its one of the best pressy's i get:o)))

12 Sep, 2009

like you say it what you use better than getting you something you will just put away and never look at again

12 Sep, 2009

I'm getting my passport paid for me this year!

12 Sep, 2009

I done one pot last year, it was facing my back window and i saw it every time i washed the dishes and it flowered all winter sandra, only twice they drooped and that was with heavy snow but they soon bounced back, Winter Pansies they were, and they were there untill May, Amazing plants, so if you just buy one lot of winter flowers get the pansie's, and there only £4 for 24 at B&Q, they will cheer you up...
A couple of Degree's extra warmth will do me Clarice.. Thanks..

12 Sep, 2009

12 Sep, 2009

Great blog Dee we call the splinters 'damn painful' :o))
I have been doing some preparation for winter by doing some general repairs, like a spot of painting, brick renovation and waterproofing to the side of the house, and I cleaned and re-pointed all the front paving, the only gardening I have done is cut the lawn and deadheading and a bit of weeding.

12 Sep, 2009

Youve been working hard..... your new winter pots look great.. ive done some like these 4 my front garden........all my summer bedding plants are still flowering so not going to take them out of their pots just yet..........
