Following on from my Yup its snowing blog (Ooops ) i thought i would show you what ive been upto so, Here Go’s… Fingers crossed it all go’s smoothly lol..

The huge pot i huffed and puffed and dragged into this small border i had emptied..i have been buying succulents so last week i started planting it up. there are still some in the Ghouse to go in but look a bit tender to me, (what do i know) maybe next week..

The other side..

We jetwashed and went darker with the decking stain this year, hoping it lasts than the usual 12 months and the hub built me a couple of shelves under the Awning against the wall, its looking a bit rough at the min but i have a vision of lots of House/Tropical plants in pots, so many that you wont see the Shelves lol.

This pics for Dottydaisy, i promised to take a pic a couple of weeks ago! Sorry DD..
The trunk of my TF, Hairy on the bottom..

I have been doing up my shed/decking area but its still ongoing so ill put pics up in a couple of weeks..
Thanks for looking..

Great job with the succulents, Daisy. Lovely pot too, but no wonder you were doing the Big Bad Wolf impression!

Wow Dee your lovely new pot full of succulents in the rectangular bed compliments the pegoda project that you did last year wonderfully, and I like the idea of the shelving for pot plants it all comes together to give a very mediterranean feel to your garden, and its all so well done.

Smashing!
You have given me some ideas for the roof-top patio my partner will soon have. At the moment it is just a fenced space with a tiled floor crying out for some plants. They will have to look after themselves quite a bit so succulents in pots may be the way to go.

Thanks Xela, kidsgran, Cristina and Scottish. Succs are easy plants, I usually have a couple of pots on the go and just forget about them, they coped well with the rain last year but i dont know about some of these new ones, i have clear plastic over them at the min as its going to rain.
My project has stopped scottish, i need some funds lol but the Acers are starting to show (yay) and i need some inspiration, a couple of ideas going round my head! time will tell if i can pull it off or it might turn out to be utter rubbish, we will see lol.

Hi YDD thanks for the pic, ours is very, very hairy, but it is growing away, one new frond so far!!it is so cold though, was not sure about even uncovering it!!never mind watering it every day!
Love what you have created, how on earth you moved that ENORMOUS pot I will never know!!looks brilliant, well done.
I see Gary has taken off (the Gunnera, most of our plants have names lol) and do I spy a Canary Island date Palm? have just given our daughter ours, as we had no room for it, yours looks huge!! do you keep it in the gh over the winter? ours was getting to the point where we could not bring it inside the house, so it had to go, shame!
Looking very much forward to seeing your new project, sounds very interesting...

Hi DD, the CIDP is in the raised bed, thats why it looks big, on saying that it and my other one are growing really well, they get overwintered in the Ghouse with the fronds tied up and the whole palm inc pot gets fleeced, so far ive been lucky (2 winters) :))
The huge pot got dragged and "stepped" across the gravel, it was full of compost too, i kept thinking, ill break me legs if i loose my balance and it falls on me lol.
Next weeks forecast isnt looking good (grrrr) but the TFs should be ok, i wont refleece mine, they are quite hardy.
The shed project! just a sort of tart up hahaha i hope it works, Eeeeek.

I am sure it will look great YDD, forecast lousy here also, so cheesed off keep taking plants out and bringing them back inside, we open the beginning of June so everything needs to be finished......help!!

12 May, 2013

No pressure then DD.. omg good luck but you probably dont need it, you know what our summers are like, one day winter then BANG next day summer and vice versa :)))

12 May, 2013

That is right, but what do we do with 150 pieces of cake? lol

14 May, 2013
