My Garden. we had a couple of bright days last week and more expected from Tuesday, at last Summer has arrived :) even tho im still waiting for spring up here lol. A lot of my plants are showing signs of going over for Autumn, Hosta heuchera etc, One of my TFs (treefern) has some browning on the edge of its leave’s! The grapevine and plum tree have yellowing leave’s so they wont be long in turning bright reds and yellow soon, I havent bothered with slug pellets for a couple of weeks, I just thought, you win go eat my garden hahaa. Then the temerature rose and the sunshine came out and this is what happened..It came Alive :)))

Sorry if ive doubled up on any of the pics, Its taking so long to upload them..

It does look grand Youngdaisy and has been said must be great if and when you can sit out and admire them all, I do like your seating area with the quarry tiling, it really sets it off...
I did well with my springtime flowers, they lasted ages this year, then missed out on summer annuals, (most of them drowned) I seem to have gone straight on to autumn here, its really a weird year all round, last year was brilliant for the roses, this is a dead loss....

wonderful - one of my favourite gardens to look at during those long winter months. I particularly like the terracotta tiles you have used as a patio - an idea I might borrow ;-))

Im so sorry for abandoning my blog, ive had a house full all day! quick bath and back on the computer..

Did you get the thunderstorms this afternoon, we were sitting under the awning with bright sunshine and pouring rain!! it was weird but fascinating, then the thunder and lightening took us all inside, a few tears from the little~uns, Awwww..

What can i say but thanks for all your amazing comments, Probably the same as most of us gardeners i dont see my garden as you do, i see the faults and the gaps i should have filled even tho i know i allowed for growth that they should have got to :))) Im allready planning for next year as i see what hasn't worked! esp in the new pergola area..Eee what am i like...

Bjs, the yellow flowered plant is a Ligularia Dentata planted last year and had one flower, Its took off this year and i love it, the leave's are gorgeous as well it also love to be wet, so perfect weather this year then :)

Karen, the siebaldiana has done great, the flowers are a bit small but im really pleased with its first year growth.

Gattina, a professional, nooooo :) I wish. Thanks tho..

Linklass, I feel the same as you about the weather but next week is going to warm up a lot, im hoping we still hace a couple of month left of summer, 3 if its like last year..

Kfunsters, what a lovely, lovely comment, thankyou so much.

Bloomer, yeah go for it. Coleus are hardier than we think as long as you wait untill the frosts are finished they will bloom there little hearts out :)

Thanks Pixi, Cinders, Sheilar, Sandra and Clarice for your lovely comments..

Wow! You have a wonderful garden, Young DD. I love the pergola and just how exuberant and exotic it all looks. I love the way you've used height to effect too. What a lovely place to sit and relax. There are so many ideas which I'd like to implement in my own garden, but I'm still waiting for the water feature promised by my husband 15 years ago so it might take a while...

6 Aug, 2012

Awesome!!! What a difference a day (or 2 or 3) makes, huh? I'm jealous of your pergola but, I see we are kindred spirits of "the gecko"...

It just looks fabulous Ydd.. dazzling. All your hard work has certainly paid off. It's been a fantastic day here again ....getting fed up with watering lol, so long since it was necessary. I know I asked you last year ...and you told me ...but I forgot all about it 'til I saw it again ....what is that wonderful yellowy dangly leaf in you basket?:-)

Ydd one word......fantastic!
I see you grew the ricinis (I forgot!) the new pergola is fabulous. You should be so pleased with yourself. I like the way you use what would normally be used as houseplants in the garden. They do grow so much better if they get a holiday outside dont they? Your garden looks loved.

Well youngdaisyd have finally arrived at your blog and what can I say beautiful, beautiful garden. Have been unable to do too much in my garden due to illness at the beginning of the year and once back to work my days off were blighted by rain, thunder, more rain etc.,etc. Your garden is an inspiration so will be off down my jungle with the shears(lost the dog a lab/collie cross in the undergrowth ages ago best go and find her) and hack back the triffids and whatever else is lurking in the foliage. Look forward to seeing more of your blog.
