What a Mess

Did anyone have damage last night with the winds, we had that much snow had to wait until nearly lunch time before we could get out, a fence panel blown down, runner bean canes all over the garden, pots every where broad beans flattend, Rhubarb flattend, garden furniture all over the place, looks like a bomb hit during the night, a clean up we need to do when the wind dies down and its not so bitterly cold, its a shame because it looked so nice out in the back garden, but not any more,

Dreadful here but no damage - really feel for you Yorkshire.
Make some rhubarb crumble with the casualties to cheer yourself up!

Oh, Yorkshire, what a shame! This unexpectedly fierce spell of weather has wrecked a lot of gardens, I bet, one way or another. Not that that is any consolation when you are looking at your own precious patch wrecked by it. I really feel for you.
Glad you have a better day to look forward to tomorrow.

It was awful here too the worst thing for me was that we have a solid fuel stove that does the central heating not only was it roaring away in the gale but the coal box kept filling with water and filled every shovelfull.....its under cover but the sleet was horizontal.....yuk!

God so many of you have had it really bad. I know we have a hosepipe ban down here but we have been warned about it & been able to prepare.
I really feel for all of you but I know your gardens will still look fabulous in a month or two.
