I thought that today I would show you where we live here in Yorkshire, in all the years we have lived here we never tire of the scenery, and to see the landscape change with the seaons is just magical, all the photo’s I am showing today are taken within ten minutes from our home, due to weather conditions today I have done my best with the help of my husband who very kindly drove the car.

Lovely photos, I love the countryside. My brother lives in york in a small village so I know how beautiful it is. I also live on the edge of the countryside in Stourbridge. I live in a small village and just walk around the corner and I'm in the fields and we have a river and beautiful canal walks. So here's to the countryside hip hip lol !!!

I have traveled all over the uk and Yorkshire has far best country side I see the mast so you are close to my son in law wonderful blog and pictures captured it as it is. Gods country is what it is and said so the other day on tv how Yorkshire is the only place that has stayed natural and not spoilt by modernisation. Next to Yorkshire, I would say Derbyshire has wonderful scenery too, I have travel up the long root from the midlands through Derbyhsire into Lanchashire, then into Yorkshire, my favourtie places to visit is Malam and Cow and Calf, Bolton Abbey.

some pictures of Malam for those that have never been.

What beautiful scenery, good blog. Lovely to hear so many voices piping up for other gorgeous counties too - I'd add votes for Devon, Worcestershire, Glos, and so many lovely bits of Cornwall, Scotland and Wales, all amazing. : )
Nice to think that God owns all of these too.

Being a Yorkshire lass I feel somewhat homesick. :0)

1 Jun, 2010

Val,I have been having another look at your pics..closely..so wondered if you were up near Pennine garden centre at Shelley? On pic No,11,I recognise the house in the bottom left, with the caravan at the side,as it belongs to Russell's former boss, and his Family....I was up there last Tuesday, with my Daughter and baby,as went to the Farm shop across from the garden centre for lunch, and
then she bought some bedding plants later...for me to do..and I provided the pots too !!!....I had some spare ones,so didn't cost me Lol.
