1st June, why is it so cold and wet?

Just one or two photos, mainly taken through windows, to share with you my frustration of yet another wet, windy and chilly day!

I know, it is meant to be getting better soon but it ain’t too good at the moment!!

On one of our better days last week, I found this little statue at a garden nursery and sadly for him he has ended up in our garden, in the rain!

He is learning the alphabet, let me help:

a is for ‘Ave you got an umbrella?’

b is for beautiful weather at the tennis in Paris at the moment!

c is for cold and cramped in this sunless spot!

d is for drips on my damp head and damp knees and damp toes!

e is for everything is wet and soggy and gloomy.

f is for fed up and freezing amongst the ferns.

g is for ‘Get me a hot drink please!’

h is for HELP it is horrible under here!

i is for ‘I think he’d like to move somewhere warmer and drier and I can’t say I blame him!!’

Don’t any of you dare say ’We need the rain!!

These pots are none too happy either!
I shall be back on a sunny day!

Its biddy awful here as well and our local Met Office has issued a Yellow Warning for tonight and tomorrow, the heating is on again, I too am fed up!!
Ironically, amongst all my paperwork that they gave me from the hospital is a warning to stay out of the sun, at the rate we're going chance would be a fine thing, don'tcha think.....
Your garden still looks nice though even through the windows and I do love your alphabet and the new resident, lol......

Your garden is beautiful nevertheless. We have the same weather here. But, I managed to cut the grass, I am very happy for that. I must say though...we have had no rain for a while here...It is very welcomed at the moment. The plants are looking very pleased with themselves.

The day started with some sun this morning, but it wasn't to last. The wind has picked up, the rain has arrived, and it's FREEZING! I've also put the heating on. Rediculous isn't it? Will summer ever arrive?

I'm in north Shropshire and the wind and horizontal rain is so depressing! My poor robins are struggling to find food for their young in these horrible conditions. I got one eating out of my hand yesterday once I had a dig in my compost bin and found some worms! One of them is getting very cheeky and as I was talking to my friend on my doorstep last night he/she came all the way up to the front door as if to say 'Come on I'm waiting for some more worms!' Praying it is going to clear up! I would like to enjoy my garden!!

These comments have made such enjoyable reading.

You all have succeeded in cheering up such a miserable day ( which is still getting worse here by the minute!)
