The Two Missing Mosaics!

In my last blog I included a photo of a mosaic that was one of three so it is only fair that I now include the other two!
Where do you find peace I wonder?

I love to be in the garden or looking at a beautiful view. I also love small things like pretty shells, primroses and violets and spiders’ webs covered in frost.

Sea thrift is so dainty and yet so tough to survive in such exposed places. I love this particular spot and find peace there too.

This is the graveyard on St Marys which overlooks the sea. It is a beautiful yet unpretentious place that is so quiet and peaceful. Harold Wilson’s grave can be found there amongst the families of local sailors, fishermen and farmers.

I have included this for a member who loves to see bees gathering pollen and nectar. It is a Scilly bee by the way!

The end to a happy and peaceful day on the islands that I love.
Hope your days are happy, peaceful ones too.

Lovely blog, Chris. Like you, I love our peaceful back garden. Also, a deserted beach or cliff-top, a bluebell wood, or just watching a bee finding nectar. :)

The mosaics are very pretty but your view is gorgeous and I guess you never tire of sitting and just looking.
I find my peace in my own garden, nothing like working in the sunshine with the birds singing along, also enjoying it...

Absolutely Sue! I tell myself how lucky I am almost every day, if I'm pottering in the garden and the sun's shining . . . and a robin comes along to help :))

Is your view near you in Devon, Wildrose?

17 Apr, 2012

No, it's the Scillies again but there are some lovely ones in Devon too!

I agree with everything you have said about the joy that our own gardens give us.

Sorry missed your original question:
Hebridean islands
The garden, on my own
The little woods behind my house
Not total peace, but near!

Lovely photo,s of beautiful Isles Wildrose, other than my garden which is not peaceful at the moment as its raining really heavily.....(I know....we need it.....) Its sitting in Scotland and hearing the curlew cry or watching the gannets dive into the sea and waiting for the plop as they go in.....heaven

is it because we live in the midlands pam that we long for the sea?

I am at peace in the garden or walking along a deserted beach in France, or a deserted village in France......love the mosaics, of course Harold Wilson loved the Isles of Scilly and went over regularly on the Scillonian (will never forget that crossing as long as I live lol)
