The red devils seem to have disappeared for the moment BUT I found a very nasty suprise today.Checking over the Lilies my hand came back with somthing brown and very nasty on it. It was the Larve covered in its own s... small ones and big ones about 20 in all and I am sure I haven't got them all. So those of you that have had a problem this year I suggest you check your Lilies carefully and be careful where you put your hands!

Hi Nickie, most of these seeds resent transplanting so if you grow in your Greenhouse I would suggest using peat pots that would degrade in the soil. Hope this helps.

On question - outdoor planting?

I understand that slugs and snails hate Copper, perhaps you could put Copper piping around an area but you would have to water the ground with nematodes as you would be stopping the pests escaping! Good luck!!

Hi Lucy,
I never feed mine it is so vigerous (as you have found) however I garden on clay so if you have a hungry soil I would probably feed at berry set.

I put mine in 3 weeks ago and they are loving all this rain, I had some trouble with some of the leaves going brown which I put down to the wind as we live in a place aptly nicknamed "Windy ridge" so I have made a fleece wigwam around them, hope I won't have to leave it on for long as it isn't very pretty!

On question - Blueberries

This photo is a couple of years old. I have to cut all the seed heads off or I would have nothing else in the garden. They are beautiful thugs.
