Life of a Thistle

its so amazing!

it is, and the close ups of the seeds are wonderful!

Nature is beautiful, if we only stop awhile to look.
They say the Scottish Thistles growing on the Castle site at Fotheringhay were brought there as seeds by Mary Queen of Scots.

Aren't they fascinating. I like to see the fluffy seeds.

Do you have seed eating birds on them, we get goldfinches, they like teasels too

Thanks for all the good comments.. I was fascinated by the finale photo. I agree with Scottish, very sea like. I had never really examined the thistle so I was surprised how beautiful the end was.
