As you probably know Scotland suffered some every strong winds last night , I spent most of the night praying no-one would get hurt , the only casualty we had was my Strawberry Tower , you can probably see from the photo the garden is flooded , but that will soon drain away . I will try and get out this afternoon , weather permitting , and see what I can salvage ,What about you David , you live quite near me , did you have any problems ? Oh the joys of gardening !

I must admit I hate strong winds, I always worry about the damage they can cause. Hope they've gone now, looks like they didn't cause you too much damage this time if they only damaged your strawberry tower. I'm sure it's a pain though!

Hi Weemamabell, I hope it all recovers and the wonds don't damage anything else. We've not had any really bad weather (yet) this winter but the wind isn't too much of a worry, my garden is so small and sheltered the worst that's likely to happen is the empty plant pots I left out get blown around - I think my inch tall cabbage plants are safe :o)

Poor you Weemama. Hope nothing got too waterlogged or wind damaged to survive.
Living as we do in the land of 4 winds I do sympathise for when they blow they really go for it, for days on end. We are just grateful not to live in the Rhone valley - 80mph winds constant for days at a time!

Hope you can sort things out soon and that the winds abate.

Hi Weemamabell, and thanks for your concern. I saw the winds forecast last night and so was able to get out and secure or put away likely casualties - so no damage done. It was really eerie being in the "Land of Oz" in the midst of a gale force wind - a touch of authenticity, LOL! Fife today was a virtual island, with every bridge into the
peninsula closed down. But normal service and weather
has been resumed. Hope you got out this afternoon and
that you can clear up without too much hassle.
