Once upon a time............

Once upon a time I ordered some primulas from – guess who? Thompson & Morgan. There were supposed to be five plug plants but when they arrived there was more than one plant in each plug so I carefully divided them and potted them up. Within a few weeks a few of them were showing flowers and my suspicions were confirmed – They Were Not What I Ordered! ! ! Of course I complained and was sent replacements and told to keep the original plants. This year the originals are all flowering – yes, Auriculas.

There’s this one

Now, what I had originally ordered were mixed candelabra primulas and here they are:

Yes, that’s right – they’re all yellow! Yes, they’re all exactly the same. The question is do I have the nerve to complain again? You bet I do!

Oh I like this one........we thought we were doing well when we discovered we had 24 auriculas and only paid £2.50, when they should have been 2.50 each, so didn't you do well?

What a lot you've got :o)

I don't know what you have to complain about, they are mixed, some are open and some are closed.

LOL Toto !

T&M leave a lot to be desired, don't they ?
I don't know of more than one or two people who are happy with them :-/

well I'm certainly not happy with them, I've lost so many of their plants, I refuse to order any more from them grrrrrr!!
Lovely auriculas :))))

Same here they are useless,
However you do have enough Auriculas to warrant Building an Auricula theatre to show them off to us all. Plans for building can be found on the net LOL

I duno I think u got more than u asked for. I think the first bach of Auriculas are lovely. I'd look at it as a gift from someone that new better. Sorry if that sounds harsh, it's not meant. Just another way of looking at it.

Oh I love the lime green leaves with the stricking colored flowes.

I can understand your frustrations at them not being what you ordered but how wonderful to get free plants. They are beautiful as well.
I'm hoping TM aren't as bad as I am reading because I am awaiting Geraniums and Fuchias from them LOL

I know what you mean with T & M but I must say they have good offers although I was cross when my baby geranium plugs arrived Before my seed order in early march and i've had to wrap them in cotton wool for ages! still all progressing now! xxx-- thats fingers crossed :o)

It's great to get the odd freebie, Wagger, but as I have been in Customer Service more years than I care to remember, when a customer orders something, he/she should get it! Too true you should complain,T&M messed this up,their reputation lies in how satisfied the customer is with the product they have ordered, it sounds like they really need to tighten up their act a bit~apologies are never needed if they get it right in the first place! Whatever happened to Quality Control?,almost seems extinct now~it does rattle my cage a bit as you can tell.
Hope you get it all sorted in the end, Wagger :~))

I love freebies they always seem to work better than if you'd ordered them in the first place. To be honest I've been quite lucky, never really had a problem with T & M and if I have they have been very quick in rectifiying it. It certainly seems you've come up trumps this time!!

They're very nice. You were lucky :o)

I love the first 'mistake' - beautiful collection but I can understand your frustration with the replacement. I would let them know and send the photographic evidence :)

Go for it wagger and really complain not only about having received the wrong plants, but stress that you would like to be compensated for time and inconvenience. ~As you can see I dont think we British complain enough and tend to put up with rubbish service.

I would call 24 auriculas for £2.50 a result, Daisy. LOL
I hope so too, Homebird.
Yes, I have, Terra.
Oh Toto, HO HO HO! :-))
I'll let you know whether I'm happy or not when I hear from them, Louise.
How annoying, Grrrrrrrindle.
If Toby Buckland can knock one up without a plan so can I, Bjs. Can't guarantee the result but if I do I'll put a picture on here first.
I've regarded it as a very kind gift, Angie
The fuchsias I got at the same time (Delta's Sarah) are doing very well, Blooming.
Fingers crossed for no late frosts, Pam
I agree with your comments, Flori but in their defence (What?) the plants are despatched by a different company so they need to ensure their suppliers buck their ideas up.
I think so too, Genius
Wasn't I, Hywel? :-)))
Email and picture sent, Gee.
I always start softly, Stroller but if I don't get the result I want - WATCH OUT!
Progress will be reported, folks.
