It depends on your internet system etc.
Google Adblock and take a look.

I have just downloaded it as well, I had already tried with the ads preference one and got rid of some only for them to be replaced with different ads one of which was the dementia one,thanks Terra....

I will try that. I've just bought a new laptop and now when I change pages or go back, it takes me to an advert. Don't know if it's me inadvertantly clicking on an advert, but it is getting really annoying, so I will try this adblock.

You have to laugh, I appear to have got rid of more ads except the dementia one, it just won`t get the message that I DON`T WANT IT...

Lol. Maybe reload the Adblock one more time ...
to get your message across .. ;o)

This Adblock thingy sounds useful - I must try it. I just thought one had to learn to live with it. Mind you, all mine are in Italian, so my brain doesn't bother with them too much! Thank you, Waddy and Terra. (Aren't you knowledgeable?)

I`ve just downloaded google chrome Terra, I had successfully removed some ads but others insisted on sharing my pages, when I arrived on this blog a few mins ago, lo and behold there were photo`s of oriental ladies across the top instead of yesterdays memory loss ad, I still have my sense of humour, we`ll get there soon I think, lol....

OH GOSH, I jigged about all over the place, no nasty ads, think I`ve done it, I now have what I take to be spellchecker as well, never managed to get that before, thanks Terra....

Just a final point, I've found you need to restart your computer, you then need to open your 'explorer' using Firefox and not the 'e' symbol otherwise the ads are still there.
