I am still waiting for my Braeburn Apple to show signs of life after I received it at the beginning of April.. I planted it in a 30 litre pot with potting mix and well rotted manure. I scraped away a small section of the bark and it was nice and green underneath but the buds on the stem are still immature and black. It only had two roots on the rootstock, and had been obviously cut from the rest of the rootstock. I am beginning to think it is a poor specimen.

I have been in touch with the gardening firm I ordered it off but they say to give it time. I am so dissappointed as everything else is growing lovely in my garden. Some of my plants owe something to Lazarus I think as after that last winter we thought they had succumbed to eternal sleep, but a few warm days and they erupted into the most glorious display of spring colours I have ever seen.

Mine took a good 8 weeks to show any sign of life. Give it a wee while longer, at least you've already voiced your concerns with the seller and if things really don't improve you can contact them again.

I won't be expecting a crop off mine this year (planted early March), but I have high hopes for next year :)
