Broken pot, garden tidy up.

A couple of days off work and it looks like I have picked the best days of the week with regards to the weather.

I have a multitude of jobs to do as I have spent the last few weeks decorating bedrooms. So the garden has lost the attention I usually give it.

Lawn needs cutting edges need tidying, patio needs weeding, plants need deadheading, shrubs need triming, young plants in pots need a home and planting. The front garden has lots of gaps so some will be going in there, the rest will go in the back garden. Those I dont use shall be potted on and taken to a car boot.

One of the first jobs i had to sort out was a pot that was broken by the carpet fitters by accident. It lives by the front door and did look like this.

it had a carex in it along with a couple of Echiverias, as it is dry and I often forget to water them.

It now looks like this.

Not one to waste things and since recycling is the theme, I have utalised the old broken pieces filled with a gritty compost and planted up with an echeviria and some different Sempervivums that are just ofshoots of others in the garden.

The front garden got some attention yesterday and now looks a bit more tidy.

The back garden got a grass cut but it is now time to start weeding and having a general tidy up.

Ignore the horrible white chairs they need to go back in the shed.

The gardens look lovely both back and front. I think you deserve a rest in one of the white chairs before they go back in the shed!

Your garden is looking great. I have some horrible white chairs aswewll but I actually find them very comfortable so the're going to stay where they are. Shame about your nice pot. I hope the carpet fitters payed you for it.

They offered Hywel but they only cost a few pounds for the pair. Since we have plenty of pots it's not so much of a problem.

Lovely garden, i particularly like the stepping stones to the back and arch. Good recycling too, I use my broken pot to put at the bottom of other pots to aid with drainage.

Silverbelle, not exactly planned as evolved. We are in our fourth year here just, It was all lawn when we moved in. A case of there is a gap fill it with a plant, if it dosent look right or bored with it find a home somewhere else.

There are parts I'm happy with and parts that need more attention. This year I wanted more flowers throughout the year. It has sort of worked but there are still gaps.

Keep on evolving.

Whatever way you've done it, you've done it well. Keep on evolving.

The pot looks really artistic - you'd pay a lot of money for that at a garden centre.

Normally I do the same as Bobq, but since this was still a hefty portion intact I thought I would do something with it. Give it a year and the house leeks should all grow and spread.
