Please Excuse My Absence

Hello all, sorry that I have not been about. Remember saying that I was waiting for a hospital appointment believing that I had another stroke. Building up to the birdwatch week end I was not feeling 100% and struggled to watch for the feeding birds on the Saturday of the 28 Jan. I had to go to bed feeling unwell and my family called for the "Out of Hours Doctor. Basics I can remember was being taken away in the ambulance to Heatherwood and Wrexham Park Hospitals.
. I had a Infection of urinary track admitted to hospital with urosepsis and confusion.
I was discharged Feb 2. I am back to see my doctor on Monday 6th. My wife and grandchildren have since been helping clean and filling feeding stations plus took some snaps for me. Any one who has had similar to me my thoughts go out to you.

Signs of Spring

I had just changed the frozen water

Ten minutes later it was starting to freeze again.

This time the blackbird made it before the ices formed

Talk about WIND CHILL you can see it chilling freshly run cold water and this just a few feet from my back door.

At least she got a drink

Little Wren looking for the odd spider leg or eight.

Most late afternoons the Wren has a good preen at the bottom of our hedge

Blackbird and Wagtail search for the meal worms I have scattered

Glad to hear you are feeling better now,Tom..you have a good back up team to help you out..:o) love the pics..it's so hard for the birds just now..we only have about an inch of snow, but it is too icy to risk going out to thaw out the birdbath..I had to just throw food out from the doorway, but noticed the Blackbird found some eventually..the daft thing watched me come to the door, then flew away ! Sun is shining now,so it is thawing well.:o)

Nice to hear you're home from the hospital, and made a good recovery.
I hope all that white muck clears soon for you. There's none here.
The birds will appreciate your efforts to feed them :o)

you must be quite near the red kites tommy? i went there a few weeks ago to try to get photos, lovely views of them over the motorway but none to be seen on my walk.
my sister lives quite near there, she used to work at that hospital i think, a few years ago.

Sorry you`ve been unwell Tommy, I`m pleased your family have kept up the good work for you and it shows with all the visitors you get in the garden, pat them on the back, they`ve taken some nice pics for you and the birds will be very grateful...
Take care of yourself...
