Not looking forward to tomorrow having seen the forecast!! Live in Lancs but winds look to be gale force and we are so close to the sea. I agree stay safe and indoors unless necessary !

Just had to add.... my OH bought me a Poinsetta at the weekend and as he turned the corner at the road end the wind took it and snapped it, he was so sad, I have put it in water and it has picked up slightly. Do any of you think it will live?? I put some rooting gel on it then put in water, not sure if I re-plant it it will work? :o(

In Glasgow we are expecting winds between 80 and 90 mph. Will report back to you if we are still here. We have a friend coming to stay for a few days......she is meant to arrive tomorrow at 3 o'clock. She could probably make it without the plane.

Just seen on the news that Scotland's (especially the central belt of Scotland) are being hit pretty hard. Hope everyone is ok and hasn't suffered much if any damage.

Hi Linda235.
I guess your power must be off. Did your friend make it okay?
Hope that things are okay with you

Calm today, but trees down everywhere around here and power off in villages round about. Absolutely wild screaming wind here last night. I've been lucky - no power down and only one tile off the roof and lying in the back garden. Not even sure if it is from my roof, because I can't see where it might have come from! Lots of folk worse off than me, though.

Thanks for your good wishes, Tommy. Appreciated.

Yes she arrived in one piece, but said it was the most frightening flight she has ever made.....the last 15 minutes people were praying and the little girl next to her was crying. Pam said she would have liked to cry too. It was awful weather.....I hated looking out of the windows and the noise was terrible. Today we all went to Loch Lomond and it was calm, sunny and beautiful. What a change!! :o)
Thanks for your concern.
