Ivy war!!!!!!!

Today I have waged war on the ivy in my flower boarders, oh yes sir, it might look nice covering a hideous fence, but it has slowly encroached my flower beds and wrangled it’s way all over the place!
Well I spent most of the morning bent double pulling the blinking stuff up. I nearly went head over heels several times, and by lunch time I was definatly winning.
I’ve found plants sprouting under it that I forgot were there!
So what are the results of the ivy war?
Well, ………..
sore hands,
Stiff back,
Aching hips,
But I am triumphant.
Well at least in one boarder. I shall tackle the next lot next weekend.
With it being mothering Sunday, I even got a little help
From my favourite chicken, and from the kids too!

Glad you managed to clear some of the ivy - it's a bit of a devil when it gets going - mind you I've found it reasonable easy to pull up, how about you ?
