My dogs enjoy my gardens …

… and, despite my home being in a fairly built-up area, lots of wildlife garden guests live in and around my flowers and shrubs …

……………………………………………………………..

C for CLEMATIS The President …

… and for COLLARED DOVES
…babies venturing into the big wide world …

……………………………………………………………..

H for HELIANTHEMUM Wisley Primrose …

… and for Herbie the HEDGEHOG
… I spotted him just in time …
… he was almost showered by my watering can !

……………………………………………………………..

T for TRACHELOSPERMUM Jasminoides …

… and for THRUSH, singing away on a nearby conifer

………………………………………………………………

B for BRODIAEA

… and for BLACKBIRD bathing …

……………………………………………………………..

S for my SEMPERVIVUM in flower …

… and for young SPARROWS in the bird globes …

……………………………………………………………….

F for FERN around the Dicentra …

… and for Fritz the FROG,
chilling out amongst the cobbles …

………………………………………………………………

… and finally …
H for HYDRANGEA Serrata Blue Bird …

… and …
… for HERON on a roof by my back garden …
… this is real … not a plastic ornament !

… They are all welcome to live here too :o)

Wonderful blog again TT. Stunning pics. Flowers are gorgeous as always. Hello to The Boys, from my pair. We've had some dreadful weather down here, and still very overcast today. Although we've had rain, everything seems to be on a go slow, except the weeds and the grass. Lol. Lovely to see the wild life at home in your garden. Maybe the heron will sit on your roof tomorrow, when he can see the rest of nature relaxing amd feeling safe in your garden. :o)))

4 Aug, 2010

4 Aug, 2010

Smashing as usual Terra, I also like to see the Heron`s but would have a fit if one came visiting near my garden.....
Lovely photo of your boys.....

4 Aug, 2010

Nice blog, loved almost meeting Herbie -
Have never seen a heron perched on a roof, only up to their knees (do herons have knees?) in swampy places. I don't have a pond so no worries for me there. I imagine the frogs peeping in the wet places in the woods would argue that point.

7 Aug, 2010

Hi Lincslass ... Thanks..
I hope your dogs are well ...
The heron only visited very early on a few mornings ...
... I think he was soon scared away because my garden is in such a built-up area ...

Thank you Weeds11 ...
That heron had knobbly knees, long legs, huge wings !!!
.. all sorts...
Fritz the frog and Herbie hedgehog kept themselves well-hidden.. ;o)
