It is called Rocky Mountain Violet, and is a geranium tree, which can grow very tall.

I just bought some poppy seeds, which blossoms are supposed to look like these. I was going to start them indoors, but the directions on the package states that they don't transplant very well and the seeds should just be put in the garden soil.

My Christmas Cactus blooms several times during the year. It is blooming again right now, but since we have a couple of feet of snow on the ground, it must think that it is Christmas again.
