Your deer seem a lot tamer than the ones in my locality. They are very elusive here.

love the song of these little beauties... they have arrived in my yard this last week..also robins... wonder what they're eating? I've grown thistles for the goldfinches and had to fight the taproot battle with the stray seedlings...but the ground is solid in many places and the poor robins must be feeling a bit deprived. too cold for worms yet.

the juncos are back in my garden too... our snow has mostly gone (touching wood) and I found that the deep snow has been a boon for our little rodent friends... and the bunnies were so deprived that they started eating the bark on my crabapple...so seeing your lovely tree so deep in snow gave me the thought that perhaps you could supplement their diet with bird food so that they will spare your trees and shrubs!!!good luck.

Nice picture Talljim! How lucky you are to have gotten one at your feeders! They summer up here, but I have yet to have one visit. This one is a lovely male - the females, like most blackbirds, are a bit more drab, with striped crown, brownish streaked back & buffy breast.
