Robin

I spent an hour in the garden and I was joined by a few friends. One is a Robin and is so friendly and comes really close. There is a second Robin who is a little fatter who visits me, but is a little more shy. I’m also followed around by a Blackbird.

How lucky am I to have such friends?

Easy photos to take with such a friendly creature. I know he's only after the worms and grubs, but it's wonderful to have a gardening companion.

I wish I had feathered friends, but Henry is always out with me, so they keep away.

These photo's are great. These bird species are worm eaters and as soon as you are messing about in the soil, out they come, waiting for a feast.

Feathered friends, furry friends, no matter what, they are good to have around.

I noticed the Robin was eating little grubs as well, kind of like thin maggots. I'm all for that as I don't want them eating my plants.

I went out yesterday to take a photo of my Aquilegia Vulgaris - 'Winky Rose White', before the coming rain beat it down and the Robin hopped along with in a few moment, I hadn't even touched the soil!
