Whats Happened To My Clivia

My Clivia seems to have lost its stem. I re-potted it about 3 weeks ago. Then last week I noticed it had started to flower deep down between the leaves. Have you ever come across this before?

If anyone has any suggestions at to what gone wrong with it I would be pleased to know.

hi sue dont know anything about them but looking at your picture it looks like its buried to deep as the leaves seem under soil, just a thought.

I agree with Sanbaz - looks like the plant is too deep in the compost. Try pulling it up gently - or repot it again;-)

Hi San this is the first one I have ever had and I have re-potted as it was in the pot it came in. The only thing I can think of is it's been in the greenhouse and I got a bit warm in their a couple of times I wonder if that caused it to bloom to quickly.... ?!

Ah! Kasy sorry just seen your comment! I will re pot it in the morning and fingers crossed I don't kill it!!! I'm not good with houseplants. If it grows outside I'm fine inside it's another story!

Strange Sueb, but this is the sort of thing that would happen to me - I just cannot come to terms with growing house plants.

I have done as advised and repotted so its base is now sitting proud of the compost and I have moved it back to the kitchen so fingers crossed.
