A Rose but not in the garden

Seeing has how I cant get in the garden I thought I`d share my other hobby with you ladies. These are my latest Machine Knit efforts for Christmas, well the check jacket was done last Christmas but never had it on, so decided to line it ready for this year. This is the machine I use older type not computorised. I design and work out on paper the shape and pattern.

They are really good, I used to do a lot of machine knitting especialy when the children were young.I really love the pink top is it a present or for your self?

That is a great talent you have love them all as its not as easy as you make it seem Well done you. I knit a lot by hand but never tried a machine, do they now have an easier way of pushing the bar across my mother had to give it up as too heavy to push and always the stitches seemed to fall off?

Mine was a bit like that Drc I think that's why I gave up. I would imagine they are far more advanced now.

Yes they are more advanced now, but I haven`t got a computorised one just a double bed manual one as you can see. I make my own shapes and designs and work them out on paper much more fun than by computor also cheaper.

My mum use to do this, it use to facinate me as a child to watch her cast of and thread them lol and watch the ball spinning hooked upon a wire, and push them back and for. You have made some lovely ones there

They are lovely. Unique too. You could charge a fortune for them if you did it commercially Stroller, they are such good designs. That check jacket looks really chic - you know what I mean.

I did have private clients for my knitwear about 10yrs ago but it really isnt viable not with the hours taken to design knit and put together, and of coarse the arthritis is getting worse so it takes so much longer to do.. Thank you all for your kind comments, and thanks to TT I added a pic of my machine to the blog.
