A lovely surprise

As I stepped through the front door this morning I noticed a lonely little flower
on the Crinodendron hookerianum(The Lantern Tree). I rescued this plant
from a neighbours skip back in May this year, they were doing a drive and
this had been thrown away. I`m glad to say that it looks as if its recovered
sufficiently to throw up at least one flower.

The Jasmine and Fuchsia were cuttings from a friend planted in the front garden.

Oh yes that old trunk is lovely. What is it? I would guess an old Wisteria which isn't growing more.
What a lovely little lantern you've got. Now I must look up Crinodendron
hookeranium because I don't think I've seen one before. You must be so glad you rescued it.

It must have felt really satisfying to see that and Fuschia is doing well. The Jasmine is starting to look good for winter :~)

That's flowering a few months early Stroller, they normally are still in bud now and break into flower in the late winter - early spring.

I had a lovely mature specimen and in the summer it got attacked by caterpillars and was decimated, i've dug it up, cut it back and potted it up to see if i can nurse it back to health. I'm not very hopeful though :-/
