CRISTINA`s NGS garden day,

The weather was very kind and we took ourselves off for a look around Cristina`s garden ~ it was a trip of 78/80miles but very much worth the effort.
It was lovely meeting a fellow goy member, thats Cristina on the left,

We made our way thru the side gate entrance

and followed the pathway round to the right,

Taking in the sight of a lovely Magnolia`Susan`

You can also see it in this shot by the side of the waterfall and pond.

I think OH was admiring a lovely little treasure chest filled with succulents

Next we come to the steps leading up to the woodland walkway,

and continue across

where we can look down onto a secluded seating area

Here we have a further couple of sitting areas the raised deck

and the lower deck.

a lovely wishing well

can be seen in front of the back door of the cottage, you can see here a rose `warm welcome` reaching up to the skies at the side of the arch.

I`m so glad we had the opportunity of wondering round Cristina`s garden she has so much lovely planting and her OH Mike has done a lovely job on the waterfall and pond and all the other hardscaping.
We stayed at a farmhouse about 3miles away for a couple of nights and Cris and Mike met us for a meal and a chat, we felt as if we had known them forever.
I hope you enjoy sharing with us these few photos.

Lovely garden. Great idea to meet and socialize with other G.O.Y members. I hope one day some members will take the initiative to organise group meetings.

Thank you so much for sharing Stroller. I love the style of Christina's garden, wish I could see it with my very own eyes. But these pictures have given me a good idea what I am missing. Many thanks, and well done Christian and hobby! Xxx

Oh Christina! I have finally bought myself a 'Paul's Himalayan' rose, can't wait to see it in it's full glory, I have it growing against a eucalyptus tree, hopefully to grow across to reach another one. Then to hang down...:)))

What a lovely garden and lovely cottage. Costas idea sounds great. We could have a coach taking us around GOY gardens and Yellow Book gardens in different parts of UK. Perhaps staying overnight at a lovely B&B. Now who can we get to organise it?:-)))
