Sky art

We went to Knoydart [North West Scotland] in June this year, Bampy’s pictures reminded me of the spectacular light, sky and clouds we saw ~ these are not photoshopped!

i think this one looks like a pig smoking!?

It is a stunning place if you ever get a chance to go ~ particularly if you have good weather ~ and no midges ~ we were incredibly lucky! I took over 350 photos that day! Knoydart has the most remote pub on mainland britain ~ i think its about 30 miles from road and its about 7 miles by sea?? but well worth visiting!

There is a 'Cloud appreciation society' I'd join if I had time. I've never been to Scotland but according to your pics I'm missing out. You didn't say the name of the pub but it sounds idyllic. No problem having 'one for the road...or sea'

good point heron, the pub is called the old forge ~ if you go to knoydart and walk along the path from the little jetty the pub is there ~ the fish is landed with the boat and put on the menu at the pub ~ eg: scallops ~ landed at 11.00. they were fantastic!
yes you need to go to scotland it is superb! i should join the scotland appreciation society!

Well, that is just perfection....bright blue sky, lots of green & probably very few people!

Lovely sky and sea it does look great.

would be lovely to be there now, except i rather think the sea would be too rough for my liking ~ dont get me wrong i love to see the rough waves, just dont want to be on them! i think the water in the photo is probably part of loch nevis [i think they said deepest loch in europe] ~ then it joins the sound of sleat and further out the atlantic.

Scotland seems to be a wonderful place (when no midgies) the people too in the main, but I'm put off by the 'S cotish N ose P ickers' especially the leader.

i didnt even think of them ~ dont let them spoil a treat for you. visit if you can. we have been lucky so far ~ missed the midges ~ dont know how!
