A cat who knows her own mind . . . and the warmest, most comfy spots of course!

I love it and can see who is in charge, lol. I've offered you some advice Stera, feel sure you'll like it....

You've shown us pics before of your beautiful cat & her penchant for sleeping in odd places. I wonder why cats squash themselves into boxes that are too small. We'll never really know what's going on in pussy minds, will we?

Ah I remember that soft fur ... :)
It's nice to know who's in control ...
I hope he hadn't 'used' the litter tray before sleeping in it !
(but a cat wouldn't do that anyway ...)

lol your cat moved to close to the top of the list for sleeping comforatbly!

but there are few others who've found unusual snoozing places, not just cats

Sheila, true, but you would have thought the hammock would be warmer and comfier of any ot the others!

Lincs, haven't seen the advice yet - looking forward to it, every little helps!

Feverfew, what a memory you have, i envy you. I was hoping everybody would have forgotten the old ones. She has been in a box smaller than this on, and had to leave one leg hanging outside...

Hywel, she doesn't ever use a litter tray so it was clean. I've dispensed with it now. I have never seen her about her priovate affirs, I think she goes under the brambles.

Fran, thanks for the link, I enjoyed looking at it very much. What a lovely choice of music to go with it too. I learned to play that movement some years ago but haven't played for over 8 years now. There a some amazing cat videos aren't there, but a few of them are obviously staged and I think rather cruel. But you can't stage a cat asleep!

Also enjoyed your shots of the "new" flat - pity you didn't do the same for the one you have now, it would have been nice to have a guided tour!

lol they beone what Snoopy used to czll a" boneless cat" - one of ours loved my brother, he'd drape her over his shoulder and she'd hang almost folded in half, happily asleep

Cat haters miss such a lot!

I've never seen any of my cats going either. They use the field or the woods.

awk, Stera, just read your post properly (ie with both eyes and at least half my brain working!). I got a comment on my "new flat" vid to the effect of "who cares?"; i said it was there for me, and friends. I could do something similar for my "new house", even if it's been a year; don't have any vids, but a slideshow might do it.

There are a lot of "fail" videos of pets, cats in particular - the quality is very mixed, but some are worth looking at - the prob is to winnow the grain from the chaff.

If you have YouTube Downloader (free) you can save favourite ones to your PC so you can watch them again without having to sort thorugh dozens of links to find the right one!

I hadn't heard of YouTube Downloader Fran - could be useful - but could also be a big tempation to spend even more time goggling!

Lovely pictures, Stera.

Happy New Year!

Love your pussy cat, we lost ours over 2 years ago now and we still miss them so. One day maybe we will get a couple of kittens, but at the moment my head is ruling my heart! Animals can be a tie and we want to visit lots of new places, but I do miss the warm cuddles and the funny things they do. I think my heart may win out in the end!

5 Jan, 2015

lol Stera, it is! but means you can re-watch stuff any time you like.

Haha Teds, that's what we said when the second of our two died. But when a neighbour said they were moving and would i like to adopt Ro I said yes stright away, and bang went our plans for visits "up north"!

Just you pop along to your nearest cat rescue place and see which one appeals to you (or which ones...) I'm not sure I'd want kittens again, I'd go for an older one that wanted rehoming - it is so sad to see them waiting there with nobody to cuddle.

We want to go to Venice in April and we have booked holidays in May, Jun, and October so maybe no Pussycats this year. I did have Solo the next door's cat last year before they moved. He would come in every day when they were at work, they didn't mind as he was very old (20) they were glad to know he was safe and getting my love. I will be 60 next year so maybe a furry birthday present?

Sounds good to me!

How funny, typical cat though!!

8 Jan, 2015

Ha ha Stera! Don't they just love the weirdest spots? Especially the litter tray!

16 Jan, 2015

You're right DD!
They certainly do Janey - she was back in tha bath last week.

Lovely pusscat who knows her own mind as to where she sleeps. Our Dusty sleeps under covers, so if we see a heap underneath we know it's her.

19 Jan, 2015

Lol. We used to have one longer ago than I like the remember, who would wriggle down to the bottom of the bed under the covers too. Amazing she could breathe there! The present one isn't really allowed in the bedroom as she sometimes gets fleas...(I don't treat her until she does as its a very difficult task to find any bare skin under all that fur, and she protests too...
