Blodyn

Friends of Hywel will be very sorry to hear that Blodyn died suddenly a few days ago. I wondered where Hywel was – he’s naturally very upset. I’m sure everyone will want to sympathise and wish him well. Blodyn will be missed by many of us who loved to see her decorating Hywel’s garden.

It is very upsetting to lose a beloved pet. I really hope Hywel is OK and will be back with us soon. I'm missing his blogs and his interesting comments, but only he knows when he's ready to come back.

Hywel did post a blog (since deleted) about the very sad passing of Blodyn - she had become very poorly and went to sleep forever on 2 April. He and Beryl are so very upset over their loss - I'm sure he'll return to GoY when he's up to it.

Thank you Shirley - I missed that blog. Still I guess better say it twice than not at all. I only heard yesterday.
I'm missing his posts too Louisa.

I've been waiting for him to come back , too , Steragram .
He should be comforted to know that we are thinking of him .

I was thinking I hadn't seen Hywel and had been missing his blogs. It came across in his blogs how much Blodyn meant to him. That is such sad news and my thoughts are with Hywel and his family. Pets become so much part of the family and I'm sure Blodyn gave them many years of happy memories that they can treasure.

Hello everyone, and thank you Steragram for being concerned enough to write this blog.
I've deleted the blog I wrote about it.

I had such a shock when Blodyn died. She was being treated for an on-going condition, but died suddenly from something totally different. She was only 7 yrs old.

I can't go down the garden at the moment. It's sad and empty, and makes me feel sick, because she was such a lively little thing and followed me everywhere.
But I'll get better soon, somehow :o)

Anyway, here's a bit of news for you ... we went to the cat's protection last week, and got another cat. She isn't like Blodyn and will never take her place (like Blodyn didn't take Fluffy's place before her)
but she's a pretty little cat, and has told me she'll introduce herself to you all in a blog soon :o)

There have been so many different things to cope with lately, as well as having that shock .... that I feel exhausted. So I'll come back when I feel better.

It's kind of so many people to say they miss me, and the blogs I write. Thank you all xxx
Sometimes I think I write too many !

Good to hear from you Hywel. And wishing you happiness with your new furry friend. X

Sending heartfelt sympathy Hywel . . . we do know how hard it is for you. It's very positive of you to have brought home another little cat - she will soon know how lucky she is to have found a good home :)

Take your time Hywel, it is terrible to lose someone we love be they human or animals. I have thought about you a lot since you lost your beloved cat and hope the new cat helps with the healing process.

Yes welcome back Hywel , I know I don`t contribute much to GOY but I too miss your posts, and as a
fellow cat lover know how you must be missing your feline friend. Now you have another lovely cat companion to get to know, I wonder what her character will be like, they are all so individual.

Hywel thats the best news I've had today, I'm really pleased you have a new furry friend to share your home and garden with, she will be a great comfort to you as I know how lost you will have felt, I'm a patient person sometimes so I' ll wait until you are ready for an introduction..

That's really good news Hywel. No two are ever the same but they all have their own little endearing ways and we look forward to seeing pictures of her. We too have a new cat - well, she spends all her time here and just goes "home " for meals! She's a bit of a monkey, always jumping on to things and noseying into cupboards but she is very beautiful - long ginger fur - so we forgive her. Usually.

Good to hear you have found another "moggy", Hywel. Like many others I also miss your blogs & have wondered how you were often in the last week!

Looking forward to the introduction blog she going to post soon! :-))

Looking forward to meeting your new companion too, Hywel; also lovely to hear that a rescue cat has fallen so well on her feet. I hope she won't keep us waiting too long before posting! What is her name?

23 Apr, 2013

She's called Bella. It's the name she already had, so she'll keep it, because it suits her.

23 Apr, 2013

Looking forward to meeting Bella and finding out about her own individual personality!

Im so glad you have a new garden companion Hywel and im sure Blodyn would approve, look forward to seeing Bella :o)) x

Pleased you found Bella Hywel. The Cats Protection people are marvellous.

they are marvellous Diane but still have to pay over £70 for a cat, well here we do, i dont mind giving but now they set a price and not like a donation anymore, my last cat i took on and she sadley died as she already had cancer, but i took her cause i knew no-one else would with her condition, so she cost me a fortune which i didnt mind but i think in that instance they should have gave her to me being sickly.
I think if it wasnt so expensive more people would take them in.
sorry a real rant then lol

That's tough Sanbaz -more credit to you for taking on the poorly one.

Glad to know little Bellas's name she will be a comfort and though she won't be the same she will be great in her own little way. Looking forward to seeing a photo, and hoping you soon feel yourself again.

thanx Steragram, i got casper from same place and even though it costs i rather pay for a stray than line some-ones pocket who breed for money, im wanting a dog now but got to get OH to agree yet, taken me 7 years up to now lol

24 Apr, 2013

Top marks for persistence anyway! Never wanted a dog - too idle to go for walkies all weathers even when i don't feel like it!

24 Apr, 2013

Sorry for you Sanbaz. I think new owners should have
the cat for 3 weeks trial, then pay if all is well. Fairer to
the cat.
