I had to move around some potted tropical’s…very low sun is now making shade…where’s if I get the tropicals up higher they can get that sun that will warm up the soils nicely even in only 15C temps.
So Delonix regia goes where Desert rose was. Desert Rose being smaller..goes higher on more brick. I’m trying the Reed Orchids on the side porch area..still not sure.
What a difference in a small yard feet can make…from cold shade to basking in winter warmth can be within an arms length- rot, from thriving, in that distance.
So many healthy succulents have lost that red summer color. Eh,thats ok..it will return in spring.

yes moving plants round can make all the difference to them and their subsequent survival.

That is why container gardening is popular. We can move pots for plants light or esthetical advantage.

Well,I think California sounds like just put the plant down and there it stays.
But those shadows get long, and what is in sun all March-Oct,is now getting cool shade half the day.
If I had a roof garden..then I would never have to move things..

I have been moving pots of succulents around outside today. Our night time temps hold just above freezing most of the winter so to give them the best chance they get bunched together up against a south or east facing wall. That mostly keeps them a few degrees above the air temp and against the house they miss alot of the rain.

That tunnel of yours Sandra must be a Paradise right about now. A sunny day in it is like visiting the Canary Islands!
