As far as the long range..75f to 85f more or less. The first time this summer a real change.
I’m now doing things to save water…putting saucers under the potted plants..even the ones I removed from saucers in winter like Plumeria or Bougainvillea.
I also am trying an idea I had for real water lovers in ground like tree ferns. I bought some bagged top soil…not a mulch- so as to hoping it puts a cap on the humusy soils that drain and evaporate well..too well. I think its working. Just a thin layer..I don’t want to smother anything.

Now also warm enough to put out most of the Orchids, indoors plants.

Speaking of Orchids..That Moth Orchid I posted that looks like an old timey embroidered pillow? RE-blooming! My first ever Moth Orchid to bloom again.
Maybe its a good variety for that? Give it a try.

Oh how lovely Stan ! We are back in winter clothing here .
Yesterday lovely and warm, got a lot done.
Today bitterly cold east wind.
Its a marvel how the newly bought spring bedding plants
survive. Just cant trust the forecasts.

It warmed up later in the day Stan, thank goodness.
Lovely to see lots of people out jogging.
Hope our purchased bedding plants have survived the cold nights.

Its gotten still warmer again. Upper 80's F. I think that's about 30C? People are flocking to the beach at Santa Cruz, but the ocean does its own thing at 55f or 13C.
Diane,I have gone almost a full lifetime, and never set foot in warm ocean waters. Now,the SF bay does warm to the south..near 80f..but thats where they make salt. So,no wading that I know of. Too bad, because if local parks made up there minds it could be a seasonal attraction.
Right now..its 100% return to animals when parks buy back salt lands.

You would think a little wading wouldn't be so bad.
