To bee or not to bee

Just a short series of photos to show you another magical moment. This time it was about ten minutes. On my usual amble around the garden, I spotted this huge Bumble bee upside-down under a Sedum spectabile. I suppose he landed awkwardly.

I watched him crawl slowly and painfully upwards to try to get to the top of the flower. Here he goes!

Would he get to his destination or would he give up and fly away? He was a determined bee – he persisted in his mission.

YES – I was so pleased for him! He looked exhausted and at the same time triumphant! I hope he had a good feast – he deserved it!

Bet you wanted to give him a little push upwards with your finger Spritz.

It's fascinating watching the creatures go about their daily lives.

Determined little soul wasn't he. I'm glad he made it.

Stunning, Spritz! You must have had as much patience and determination as the bee, to capture this. Thank You!

He could probably feel you cheering him on and that gave him that final push! Bravo!

... and that being so, if the bees were bears, we shouldn't have to climb...up...all...these...stairs.
Phew.
Apologies to Pooh.
