Everyone has become excited about the rain. Of course you are all sooooo right, I like it as it brings nourishment to the soil and is so much better for my plants as opposed to ordinary tap water……….
Make the most of it though as they reckon that in about a week or so we will head back into heatwave time.
I’m collecting as much rain water as poss for that period. I don’t want to go back into hospital and have the hosepipe surgically removed again!!!………from my hand that is lol

Yes, I collect rain water in water butts and lots of other containers. So much better for the plants... :o)

Too right! Our tap water is really hard...you can almost see the plants wincing as you water them!
Also...last time I watered with the hose we attached it to the kitchen taps as we haven't got a garden tap yet & it blew off , watering the entire kitchen ceiling! :0(

Yes, we love the rain - for a while. Are we really getting the heatwave back!! I hope so.

I have mixed feelings about a heatwave. Going on holiday for a week and worried about the garden, elder daughter is garden-sitting but not very enthusiastic about watering. Can't we order some nice sunshine in the daytime with a good downpour each night? That would be just the job!
