enviro mesh


i know there are not so many veg growers on here . but i have bought from amazon some enviromesh it measures 6X3.6 meters i have not measured it in feet /inches but it is quite big i got two and they will cover a good part of my veg patch well nearly half actually it does not need support it guards against carrot fly cabbage root fly and some other things it is supposed to last ten years and i think it will it is good strong and light to cover plants and let them grow and i write this blog incase anyone is thinking of buying fleece and this is a choice that they/you will not have heard of steve

shall take a look Snoopdog as our cabbage and carrots were dessimated this year ... we did manage a few carrots that we grew in a tub standing on bricks.

Just interested - how will you get at the plants for harvesting or for weeding?

hi stera,it is the same idea as the garden fleece that is used but stronger material and just as light ,to weed harvest etc you just lift it off or roll back i have the allotment size as the size above there are various sizes

That's interesting. I might get some. I wonder if it would help veg in pots (that's where I grow them)

hywel yes it will help but for pots it would be better to buy fleece from garden centre where you can get small size and cut it to fit and just drape over very loose so the plants can grow upwards it will keep all the nasties off

Best time to sow Early Nantes Carrot Seed is the first week
of June. They will mature in October. Free of Carrot Fly.
