The wild flower meadow in our local recreation ground is still a beautiful sight. The cornflowers have finished and their place has been taken by Cosmos which have been flowering a couple of weeks now.

The meadow has given a lot of pleasure to a lot of people over the summer months.

That is beautiful, Newcastle started to do this in the city centre a few years ago with poppies/cornflowers/cosmos and it really did look lovely.

Yes, we have this in Dundee too. And its so much better than what they used to grow.

They did this on verges at Langley near where I live and they look so much better than the usual bedding they put in.

The cosmos is such an improvement. We had the usual cornflower and poppy mix which looked nice for a while but looks awful now. It might be cheating to call cosmos a wild flower in Britain but it certainly seems to be happy where it is!

Lovely ... a similar planting scheme can be seen along the greensward at Goring & Ferring ... West of Worthing. Always a pleasure to see ...

A great use if space that would otherwise be of no interest to humans or insects :)
