Apologies to you for Rotated Photographs in the past.

A couple of members have drawn my attention recently to photographs which are incorrectly displayed on GoY.
I have been taking photos on my camera, putting them onto my Ipad and then into GoY with the Ipad. They are all correctly displayed for me, when Goy viewed on my Ipad. When viewed on Hubby’s tablet some were on their side.
Here is the test theory:-

1. Photo taken in Landscape, on camera

2. Same Photo as above, taken in Landscape and enlarged on the camera

3. Photo take in Portrait on camera

4. Same photo as above, taken in Portrait and enlarged on the camera.

These photos, are correctly displayed, on my Ipad, but I expect no 4 to be incorrectly oriented on hubby’s tablet.

YES, No 4 is WRONG!

My apologies to those of you with cricked necks, from looking at my pics over the last year. One year’s worth of dodgy photographs!!! Wish some one had mentioned it earlier, as the solution is simple:-

Don’t enlarge portrait pics. QED!

Just seen your blog Linda, the camera I use is not the facility on the Ipad but a Canon Ixus. Don't usually take pics with the Ipad and wouldn't have thought to turn the Ipad up side down in case I dropped it!

I mostly use my camera and then put them on to my Mac, never had a problem......if I use my phone I Bluetooth the photos to the Mac, but it depends if I took the photo in landscape or portrait mode as to whether it will be on its side or upside down!! which is most annoying :'(
