For those folks not from the UK, a yellow book day is a garden which is open to the public with proceeds going to charity. Dottydaisy held one today.
Dottydaisy and Siris discuss the creeping habits of the black bamboo.

Underneath the tree fern.

A small selection of Dd’s plants
Sunny pot of primulas

The next plants are my ideal sort of plants – perennials
Liked the black/blue Hellebore the best, photo no good!

Hakonechloa

A pink Lamium

My absolute favourites
Podophyllum ‘Kaleidescope’

P. ‘Spotty Dotty’ wonder if she bought this because of its name!

Lost my pink P. hexandrum years ago, the leaves were droopy unlike these umbrella shaped ones.

Many thanks to Dd, hope I didn’t hog too much of your time!

On the way to Dd’s called in at Abbey Nurseries ( for the loo) bought a Geranium " Splish Splash", another casualty that needed replacing, and on the way home to a riding stables. Filled-up a load of bags with horse poo. Not too ripe, but I will mature it a bit before use on the garden.
My sort of Sunday!

Yes Hb, weather was glorious, Dd garden was pristine as usual, Oh had to wash the car windscreen as a horse insisted on licking it. Enjoyable.

Each time we come OH meets some ex work's colleague, so is happy chatting about the past.
Splish Splash, only one more chance, but I will take seed, if it obliges.
