Bressingham gardens

Oh wow! I have had plants from their on line g.c. and had no idea the gardens were so vast. What a beautiful place to go to visit. Lovely pictures of a beautiful garden thank you Siris. :O)

What a lovely place to visit - oh, that's what Olive just said! But it sums it up so well. Doesn't it make a differenc when yu have room for mass plantings?

Thanks everyone, it was a really enjoyable mini break. The attached garden centre was unfortunately just like any other, same plants, same prices. But I did buy the day before at Woottens nursery. I think I am spoilt here as we have Hardys nursery, also Hilliers Gardens not far away.

Late arriving Siris but really enjoyed this blog, I like to visit such places and this one is a beaut, thankyou for sharing your lovely photo's....

Looking thro' catalogues saves the feet! And you can dream.

I have a hosta, Bressingham Blue...and it's the most wonderful hosta I have. (I have a few)...It is huge leafed with pretty white flowers. I just love it. Next spring I'll be able to divide it...I have lots of places for it's daughters.
This is a wonderful garden and your blog has given me lots to think about. There is plenty of room here to fill up and I"ve only just started. Particularly loved the combo of grasses with perennials...also the colour combo of festuca glauca and red heuchera. Very inspiring..

Thanks Lori, I was truly impressed by Bressingham, unfortunately don't have much space, so would have to down size my aspirations.

My garden here is only 3-1/2 years old...for accuracy maybe only 3 years as we moved in Dec.31st. ...I had a small garden (front and back) at our place in the city...but when spring arrived here I was a little overwhelmed by the scale of the place. (about 4 acres of cleared land and four of forest). Had to learn the soil...the wind patterns...the sunny spots and the dreary ones...my perennials are only just starting to acclimate. Looking at your pics of the Bressingham stream planting gave me lots to think/dream about as I have two streams and a forest. I'm not getting any younger or more energetic and that means that I too have to down size my aspirations!

Bressingham has an army of gardeners. I think I would be overwhelmed by the size of your garden. The only advice I would give you is "pace yourself". This is based on ,do as I say not as I do.
