We went to Suffolk 1st week of June, after visiting friends in the vicinity. Woottens, a specialist nursery holds an open field day at this period, showing Iris germanica, one of my addictions. I was in seventh heaven. Here are some of the photos I took. They are mostly late flowering Talls as the smaller one were finished.

Supreme Sultan

Vague a l’ ame

Dusky Challenger

Song of Norway

Dracular’s Kiss. Nursery stock for the future.

Bluetique

Wabash One I wanted to order, unfortunately, all spoken for or next years stock.

Ever After

I got so excited that I lost my pencil in the acreage, so I won’t put a name to these in case I get them wrong!

I spent 2 hours wandering up and down the lines of plants, my very patient husband stayed in the car and fell asleep!

The following day we when to Bressingham Steam and Gardens, so something of interest for him to see, and you when I blog it.

I took a lot more photos, but thought this selection was enough. They were indeed beautiful, all in straight lines, like a field of potatoes, with a stake and name tag at the start of each section. You could wander at will. Have just ordered 4 for delivery in autumn.
