Those huge bouquets were really heavy. Mine was relatively small but my mothers was down to the floor - but then she was only 4'10" tall! You are both looking very pleased with yourselves ( I assume it IS you?).

Is it congrats? not too sure but you are a handsome couple and the flowers are great.

Yes the two of us all those years ago!
Like your mum's bouquet Lily2, mine was really too large for me as I was only 5' then. No one showed me but it should have been held at waist height and hung down so as to display the bodice of the dress, lace, covered with pearl sequins. The dress cost £10 in a sale in Bond street. I separated the top from the skirt and years later the children used it for dressing up, also my elder daughter wore the top when she was the wicked Queen in Snow White. Then I made a trouser suit out of the lace skirt lined with flesh coloured material which was a Wow at parties! Needless to say I can't get into it now. I am no longer 5' tall either.

Yes Lyn I held mine clutched to my bosom as well! So did my 2 daughters when they were bridesmaids at my other daughters wedding. Sounds like you got your ten pounds worth out of it. Mine is still in the loft, can't get rid of it because my Mum made it!
