Garden progresses

In late 2007 we laid a stone circle on the larger part of the terrace and then in 2008 had help from family in laying a patio across back of house instead of having to walk over gravel which we found awkward.

Donated heavy patio furniture to newly married Granddaughter and spare plastic sun chairs to a Grandson. Took down a trellis. Clearing the decks for action.

I now have my own little growing area with a plaque that says ’Mum’s garden’.
Howard, a Siamese neighbour, thinks it is his and tries to enforce his claim in a rather nasty way, but I shall soon have him exiled as my husband got stocked up with Pepper Dust and Mothballs this morning having been unsuccessful earlier with Jeyes Fluid.

I am in the dog house having spent too much time on the computer this afternoon. Now dinner will be late, oh dear!

Hi simplylyn, welcome to GOY. Your garden looks lovely and it would be a shame to have it spoiled by a cat. Have you used the mothball treatment before? I have, with great success.

Must try the mothball treatment. Do you just sprinkle them around the garden? At least 4 cats in the neighbourhood are claiming the territorial rights to my garden. Although I'm sure Red is as brave as a lion, he was brought up an indoor cat (well, that is his excuse) so he hasn't got the hang of chasing the intruders off the property. As for Tabby, despite her petite size Tabby would also have seen off any of these interlopers in her prime. Alas these days she's all for a quiet nap - all day every day :-)
