Very stiff, erect, lance-shaped, fronds form a distinctive shuttlecock-like shape. The new fronds of this evergreen fern are covered in golden hairs as they unfurl. Perfect for providing all-year round interest for a shady, well-drained mixed border, the finely divided foliage looks wonderful frosted in the winter garden.Garden care: Incorporate lots of well-rotted leaf mould, composted pine needles or garden compost into the planting hole
