Tigridia Pavonia 'Lilacea' (Tiger Flower)
Position: full sun Soil: well-drained, preferably sandy soil or loam-less potting compost Flowering period: June to August Flower colour: pink Hardiness: frost tender The creamy yellow throat and innermost petals of these rich pink flowers are heavily spotted with deep plum, so they mix particularly well with softer pink tones, pale lavenders and purples. They will also offer a striking contrast to plants with silver foliage. Garden care: Plant bulbs 10cm deep and 25cm apart In cold areas lift the bulb after flowering and overwinter in dry sand at a temperature of about 10°C Tigridias grown in pots can be kept in the compost and overwintered under glass.
