Position: full sun Soil: well-drained, preferably sandy soil or loam-less potting compost Flowering period: June to August Flower colour: white with plum freckles Hardiness: frost tender Fans of pleated, lance-shaped leaves form attractive clumps, which are crowned with raspberry spotted, creamy-white flowers that can reach up to 15cm in diameter. For best effect plant them in groups of 5 or more, or leave them undisturbed to form large clusters. Garden care: Plant bulbs 10cm deep and 25cm apart In cold areas lift the bulb after flowering and overwinter in dry sand at a temperature of about 10°C Tigridias grown in pots can be kept in the compost and overwintered under glass.
